A trans membrane receptor that is specifically available on cells that are of myeloid range, this, Cluster of Differentiation 33 helps in binding of acids of sialic nature. It has dual domains of immunoglobulin receptor that is useful for stopping of cellular activity. This is specifically known to mark out unknown functions that are found in myeloid cells of immature type. This Cluster of Differentiation 33 is included within acute leukaemia blasts of myeloid type. It is also found in mature monocytes.

It is primarily used for investing molecules that are of cell surface types and provides tragets in regards to immunophenotyping of cells. Cells are specifically defined against the molecules that are present in these cells. Specific tests have been carried out with help of Mouse Cluster of Differentiation 33 (CD33) ELISA Kit which have clearly showed the amount of phenotyping of cells that have been done.
