There are certain proteins that help in development of specific cells. With Interleukin 7, one can get another gene encoded protein that is important for development of the B and T cell type. This cytokine along with the hepatocyte factor of growth, forma a type of heterodimer that helps in functioning as a pro B development factor of cell growth. This is produced in the epithelial systems, and the intestines, and is jointly secreted by keratinocytes, neurons, and hepatocytes.

Functions of Interleukin 7:
