Assay principle:

Sample collection and storage:

·         Serum: A serum separator is used, where samples are allowed to clot for 30 minutes prior to centrifugation for 15 minutes at 1000g. After this samples are to be stored at ≤ -20° C.

·         Plasma: It is collected by using heparin, EDTA, citrate as anticoagulant. Within 30 minutes of collection, it has to be centrifuged for 15 minutes and stored at ≤ -20° C.
